FAQs

When will I receive my tickets?

Tickets requested by post will be sent within 2 working days of booking. E-tickets will be sent out immediately after you have completed your booking.

What should I do if I haven’t received my e-tickets?

Contact the box office by calling 01403 247434 or emailing boxoffice@christs-hospital.org.uk as soon as possible, and before the day of the performance if you have not received your e-tickets.

Please make sure you check your junk, spam or deleted email folders as some email providers divert emails straight to these.

Can I get a refund for my ticket?

Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.

What is your latecomer’s policy?

Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable time during the performance, at the Front of House Managers discretion. If a member of your party is running late we would advise that you leave their ticket at the box office for collection, they will then be escorted to their seat (or an appropriate alternative for minimal disruption) at a suitable point in the performance.

Can I smoke?

No. The theatre and school are a non-smoking site. This includes all outside spaces on the school grounds and the use of e-cigarettes.

Can I use my mobile phone?

Please turn mobile phones off during all performances.

Can I take photographs?

Photography and recording of any kind are strictly prohibited during all performances.

What time should I arrive at the venue?

For events in the theatre the box office will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the performance for ticket collection and any other queries. We aim to open the auditorium 20 minutes before the performance start time. Announcements will be made once the doors are open but all times are subject to change. For events in venues other than the theatre the doors will open 30 minutes prior to the performance start time.

Can I take food and drink into the theatre auditorium?

Drinks in plastic cups may be taken into the auditorium and can be purchased from the bar in the theatre foyer. No hot food is allowed within any performance, but sweets and snacks may be consumed. These can also be purchased from the bar.

What time does the bar open/close?

The bar in the theatre foyer will be open 30 minutes prior to all performances in the theatre and during the interval. There will not be the opportunity to purchase further drinks/snacks once a performance has finished. There are no bar facilities for events in other locations (i.e. Chapel, Big School).

What should I do if I lose something?

If you have left something behind after a performance, then please contact the box office on 01403 247434 as soon as possible.

Is the theatre available to hire?

Yes, the theatre and many of the other school buildings are available to hire for events during the school holidays. Please contact our team on 01403 247631 or chel@christs-hospital.org.uk for further information.
